Born in Brooklyn, New York, and now based in Paris, France Sophia's unique ability to capture scenes of everyday life and transform them into riveting stories has earned her a solid fan base in the City of Light, where she captures the city with a fresh perspective, strongly influenced by her experiences living in two of the world’s great cities.  

Sophia considers Paris her constant muse and inspiration in her photographic work and is a very active member of the photographic community in Paris. She is knowledgeable about the history of the city and has worked on many photographic projects that deal specifically with the evolving Parisian landscape.

After living in Paris for several years, she's had six expositions, has been published in photography magazines, and Paris guidebooks, featured in Paris-centric blogs, her work has been shown on French TV Arte and published in The New York Times.

She's also been invited to photograph at the private residence of the American and British ambassadors in Paris. She has been hired by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars) to photograph academy members. 

In 2011 she opened a destination photography business called Photo Perfect Paris, It focuses on offering professional portrait services to individuals, families, and couples visiting Paris.

In 2013 she opened the luxury portrait studio, Portrait Boutique which caters to the local Paris community specializing in portrait photography, offering a high-end, full-service experience with make-overs, styling, and portrait sessions.
